Since 1985, we have owned and run Vancouver's hippest, most dazzling International Backpackers Hostel. Situated in downtown Vancouver, we are within walking distance of Chinatown, museums, shops, nightlife and steps from the site of the future Vancouver olympic games.

C & N Backpackers Hostel is the oldest and most reputable hostels in Vancouver having been in the same location since 1985. We have garnered a reputation as an international hostel with a safe, clean and friendly environment. And you don't need to spend a fortune to visit one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Guests from around the world frequently stay with us on more than one occasion because of our exceptional value and the high level of service we provide.

Situated at the eastern end of False Creek, we are surrounded by luxurious condos and are within walking distance of business, entertainment and recreational amenities such as public tennis courts, shore-line cycling, and scenic walking paths.

The Hostel is one block north of the Main Street/Science World Skytrain Station. City Buses #3 and #16 stop right across the street from the Hostel. Vancouver's main Bus Depot and Train Station is situated across the street and approximately 200 meters to the left, and we are steps from the future 2010 Olympic Village.

Free shuttle service to the Bus Depot or downtown is provided, but our hostel is so conveniently located for travellers and foot passengers from these major transportation points that if your trip from the bus or train station takes more than four and a half minutes (190 seconds) on foot, the coffee is on us! A shuttle service to and from the airport can be arranged for guests upon request for a fee. We have provided directions from the Airport online.

Since taking over, we have invested a lot of money renovating the interior of the Hostel, and we are planning to give the exterior of this 1926 Heritage Building a face lift in the near future.

The Hostel is lovely, but simply furnished. It is our priority to keep the facility spotless, clean, safe and comfortable. Our trained, friendly and international staff is happy to assist you in planning day trips as well as information on how to reach sightseeing attractions. We can help you in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Farsi and Turkish.
